Ten years ago Luke Cage was already a very well known man in Harlem but now that he has been released from Riker’s Island his fame has been greatly increased due to a prison experiment that left him with indestructible steel skin. Cage’s only objective now is to find out what happened to his girlfriend, Josephine Ball, but it appears that some powerful men have other ideas about Powermans future.

If you’ve been watching the site closely, then this week’s installment of the Major Spoilers Adventures is right on the mark.
Or – “This Just In: Former Captain America Steve Rogers Is Sorta Kinda Still Dead…” *”Aren’t you supposed to be dead?” as translated from the German through a crushed larynx…
Or – “Black Canary Said It, Not Me…” Wonder Woman as a character has always been more successful than Wonder Woman as a comic book, or a series. The iconic imagery and power that people associate with Princess Diana, from Linda Carter to underoos to Superfriends and back is seldom easily captured in her comics. Aside from a delightful Kurt Busiek miniseries 20 years ago, some Denny O’Neil issues in the early 70’s, and the George Perez revamp, I’ve seldom found the character to work for me. Still, I’ve been onboard with the WW revamp for several years, with varying…
Or – “No Second Chances. I’m That Sort Of A Man.” “Hey, I’m the Doctor, I can save the universe using a kettle and some string. And look at me, I’m wearing a vegetable. “
Calie travels through the looking glass one last time on a desperate mission to rescue her daughter. If you don’t know anything about Zenescope’s best selling Wonderland series, I would advise that you go to your local comic store and pick up the Return to Wonderland hardback along with back issues of Beyond Wonderland (the Tales from Wonderland trade paperback is also a great read which contains individual stories on characters such as the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts). You don’t necessarily have to read the first two chapters to enjoy Escape but it will add to your reading…
In this issue: Can a rabbit be invisible and pink at the same time? My name is Mot, thanks a lot! And wouldn’t it be cool if the Plutonian had a flying dog in a cape that is ALSO a mass-murderer… Plus: Billy West will still be getting a paycheck… Norman Osborn is makin’ his list, and checkin’ it twice… But is the podcast brutal enough that Stephen will stop erasing and starting over? And: Punk Rock Girl, you look so wild, punk rock girl let’s have a child, we’ll name her Minnie Pearl, just you and me, we need…
Or – “Battle Of The Network Super-Revenants!” A founding Justice Leaguer has returned from the dead… That has to unprecedented, right? I mean, how often can they pull off something like that? Superman – Died Superman 75, 1992.  Revived Superman – The Man of Steel 25, 1993. Batman – Died Final Crisis 6, 2009. Living in cave somewhere in Final Crisis 7. Wonder Woman – Died Crisis on Infinite Earths 12, 1986.  Revived Wonder Woman 1, 1987. Green Lantern – Died Final Night 4, 1996.  Revived fully Green Lantern – Rebirth, 2004. Pop quiz: What do Malcolm McDowell, Naomi Watts, and rapper Ice-T have in common? If you said nothing, I’m sorry – no points for you. If you answered “They’re all bipedal mammals who breathe air and drive fancy cars,†close but no cigar smart-alec. But for those of you who know obscure movies (or if you read the title of the review already) you’d know the answer is Tank Girl, a precursor to the Comic Book-to-Film craze that’s so popular these days. Does it stand the test of time? Let’s find out.
Or – “Bring Me My Victory Wenches!!” In a perfect world, you’d be looking at the face on all our coins…
Is this the end of Ultimate Spider-Man? I don’t want to give the answer away too early in the review, because 1) I want you to click on the More link, and 2) it’s pretty tacky to talk about the end before all the other goodness is covered.
Or – “A Dash Of Courage To Go With The Brains And The Heart…” Today’s entrant has been for half a century one of the most iconic of the Legion’s dozens of active members, existing (like his fellow founders) in virtually every iteration of the team to date. UNLIKE his fellow founders, though, he hasn’t been tweaked, twisted, and reshaped to fit into each “new” world, instead seemingly shaping each of those variant worlds with his own quiet strength and integrity. Never the most overtly powerful Legionnaire, he was nonetheless the unanimous choice for first Legion leader, he was instrumental…
Are you stumped for what you want your next D&D 4e character to be? Wish you could somehow adapt one of your favorite characters to a medieval, high fantasy setting? Look no further, in this series I’ll be taking Frank L. Baum’s beloved characters and turning them into D&D badasses. Don’t forget to check out the previous two entries Dorothy and The Scarecrow.
I’m often asked how I got into the hobby of cosplay and surprisingly enough my answer is simple; I saw something that I wanted to try, loved it and have been cosplaying now for the past three years. The first exposure I had to the wonderful world of cosplay were photos of a beautiful Japanese woman dressed as Rikku from the video game Final Fantasy X. I was intrigued that someone put so much time and detail into the outfit. She truly looked like Rikku come to life which instantly captured my imagination. How much fun it must be, I…
