DC Entertainment just announced that the Zuda Comics website is shutting down today, and will be moving content to the ComiXology and PlayStation Network.  Last week, when DC unveiled its iTunes App (for the iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch), the first 20 pages of Jeremy Love’s Bayou was released for free.  DC will continue to release first issues from Zuda for free, with other issues following at 99-cents each. It came as a big surprise this morning that DC Comics FINALLY got around to offering up their creating a digital comics application for the iPad and iPhone (and iPod Touch).  The application is by ComiXology, the same group that puts out the very well done ComiXology, Marvel, and BOOM! Earlier this week, BOOM! Studios announced its all new iPad application for purchasing and viewing the company’s digital comics.  While the title selection is relatively small right now, the interest in the application was enough to drive the app to the number seven position just behind Marvel in the Free Book App category of the iTunes App store.
