DC Direct has announced a new production run of the 1:6 scale deluxe Joker collector figure.  The figure has been sold out for a while, and with the success of the Dark Knight movie, the company is trying to meet demand. THE DARK KNIGHT: THE JOKER 1:6 SCALE DELUXE COLLECTOR FIGURE features an intricate fabric costume consisting of a shirt, tie, vest, blazer, pants, overcoat and loafers, with movie-specific accessories including three knives, a handgun with removable clip, a bank robbery mask, three sets of hands, as well as a display stand. Diamond Select Toys has unveild a new line of quarter scale figures at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.  The figures will hit store shelves at the end of the year, with Darth Maul being the first figure.  All figures are fully articulated, include a sound chip, and will sell for $80. I’m sure it isn’t a literal ton of toys – well, maybe it is, I haven’t weighed the average action figure lately – in any case, Hasbro as announced several new toy lines at the San Diego Comic-Con. I don’t have any awesome cool pictures, but if you are at the show and stop by the Hasbro booth, take a few snaps for us, won’t you?

Image Comics has sent Major Spoilers the rundown of McFarlane toys arriving in October 2008.

The figure that everyone has been asking for for the last three years is finally getting made.  Mattel has told Action Figure Insider that it will be unveiling the JLU Question this week at San Diego.  Head over to the ACI site to see the full image, it looks great! I’m in the process of cleaning out the Major Spoilers Toy Closet (something that is taking forever).  The toy collection goes back nearly 20 years and contains a variety of figures (some are for sale), and I’m constantly amazed at the number of different styles a particular character can take. Diamond Select Toys has announced it will be giving away its Battlestar Galactica Chief Tyrol action figure to the first 750 people to give blood during the Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive at the San Diego Comic-Con. “After the last three years’ extremely successful campaigns, we’re delighted to once again be contributing to the Robert A Heinlein Blood Drive,” said Chuck Terceira, Director of Diamond Select Toys in a prepared statement.  “They’ve broken three consecutive records, so we’re hoping for even more blood to be donated this year!” Wouldn’t it have been cooler to give away that SDCC exclusive blood…
