NBC has announced most of their fall line up will stream for free or be available via Netflix before airing on the peacock network. NBC entertainment president Kevin Reilly announced Friday that viewers can watch shows like Heroes, Friday Night Lights, and Studio 60 on the net. Even though the shows will contain commercials, NBC is hoping the buzz surrounding the announcement will pull them out of their fourth place standing. It was announced both on G4 Comic Con Live show and by Michael Bay that Optimus Prime’s voice for the upcoming Transformers movie has been cast. Fans will be happy to know that Peter Cullen, who voiced Optimus Prime during the 80s cartoon, will be reprising his role for the feature flick. Mum was the word when producers were questioned on the voice of Megatron, but if Cullen is a clue, we may get Frank Welker back as well. One of the attendees at San Diego Comic Con has posted an image of the Iron Man preview poster over at director Jon Favreau’s Iron Man movie blog site. These poster were handed out during the Marvel presentation at the Con on Saturday. During the presentation, Favreau did remind the crowd that this will not be the final costume design. The United States Postal Service unveiled the commemorative DC superhero stamp collection last week at the San Diego Comic Con. The 1st day of issue stamps were available at the convention, but Friday morning post offices around the country began selling the 20 stamp collection.

The official Hellboy Animated Series website has launched. The desitination is the offical site for the animated series, which will debut on the Cartoon Network and DVD in February. Currently the site has wallpaper and buddy icon images for download as well as a brief synopsis on each of the two animated movies (Blood and Iron, and Sword of Storms). Looks like the main characters will be Hellboy (naturally), Abe Sapien, and Liz Sherman. Warner Bros. Pictures has hired Adam Turner to write the screenplay for DC Comics Doom Patrol. Warner Bros. will be making the announcement this week at the San Diego Comic Con. Remnicent of the X-Men and teamed like the Justice League, The Doom Patrol uses their freakish abilities to stop evil doers. The film will be produced by Akiva Goldsman via Weed Road Pictures. Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Guillermo del Toro is teaming up with Don Murphy’s Angry Films to bring the DC Comics superhero “Deadman” to life. The deal is still in negotiations and the search for a writer is underway. Deadman is the ghost of Boston Brand, a circus performer who was murdered during one of his performances. The Hollywood Reporter spilled the beans early on The Spirit movie adaptation. According to the industry mag, comic legend Frank Miller will be adapting and directing the flick. Will Eisner’s The Spirit – one of the most influential comics of all time – is being produced by Odd Lot Entertainment’s Deborah Del Prete and Gigi Pritzker who will also finance the film. Also producing is Michael Uslan. According to Uslan, Miller is the best person to direct the film.
