Youngblood is set to return to Image Comics in January 2008. The series will feature new characters and old, some you’ve seen, and one you haven’t. “YOUNGBLOOD is the book which launched the Image invasion and eventually spawned THE ULTIMATES and AUTHORITY,” said writer Joe Casey. “It’s only right it’s back at home and I’m extremely thrilled Rob has entrusted his creations to series artist Derek Donovan and me. The duo will be bringing their miniseries, The Gloom to the site soon. Top Cow has announced The Darkness will be a new ongoing series debuting December 12th. The new ongoing series will be written by Phil Hester (Green Arrow, Deep Sleeper) and penciled by Michael Broussard (Unholy Union). Both Hester and Broussard have stated their commitment to the ongoing series with Broussard recently signing a 3 year exclusive contract with Top Cow. Diamond Comic Distributors has sent Major Spoilers the market data number for the top 300 comics sold in September 2007. This month, Diamond provides the list with rankings based on the number of issues sold as well as retailer ranking. For the most part the rankings are identical, but there are a few that differ. Taking the top spot in September is World War Hulk #4, followed closely by the Spider-Man One More Day kick-off issue in Spider-Man #544.
