Thriller the way I likes ‘em When I decided to give The Remnant #1 a once over for a possible review, I didn’t know I was getting myself into what could be the best thriller comic of the year.   One would think almost getting blown up would be the worst thing that could happen in your day.  For former CIA Agent David Sacker, things do get worse as his wife is picked up as a possible suspect, and then a stranger you saw at the scene of the crime shows up, uninvited at your house.

Apparently the end of Marvel’s Ultimate Universe is a big deal, as the company announced the second issue has sold out at the distributor level (check your LCS to see if there are any left).  The Jeph Loeb/David Finch issue is being sent back to the printer for a second run that should arrive in stores on March 4, 2009. via Marvel

Forbidden Planet in the United Kingdom has nabbed some exclusive Doctor Who figures that feature William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, and Colin Baker.  Unfortunately, these exclusive figures are only available outside the United States of America and Canada.  Really?  I bet those online auction sites would beg to differ.  I wonder if Matthew has been good enough this year to land the Colin Baker figure for his birthday? Variety is reporting that John Stevenson (Kung-Fu Panda) will take on the directorial duties for the new He-Man movie produced by Joel Silver.  No word on a release date as the script gets polished, but it is clear Mattel wants this to be a successful motion picture to boost toy sales. via Variety
