Well, it IS the Ultimate Universe. I can see room for a Spider-Man without Parker.
I just think it’s really stupid to then call it The Death Of Spider-Man. Spider-Man is obviously living on. Parker isn’t.

Quesada has no clue. The man who killed Spider-man’s marriage for profit but claiming nobody wants to see a 40 year old married spider-man – gee Joe I thought spider-man was in his twenties and married and was perfectly happy with that. The reason I mention this old peccadillo is that he wants to update Spider-man but he draws Uncle Ben with a very unhip 80’s ponytail. I love Romero and overlook his fashion faux pas out of respect but it shows how truly lame the ego driven bloated Quesada is.
I agree that it was silly to call it the “death” of Spiderman when it’s actually the death of Peter Parker. I’m sure USM will go on without Peter, even though I haven’t read past issue 80 and have no idea what’s going on in the story line right now. But @BIll Keller: you DO realize that is was Bagley that draws the series, so Quesada only draws his variation of Bagley’s Uncle Ben. It wasn’t Quesada’s idea to give him the ponytail.
ben has a ponytail because he’s a former hippie
