Every few years, I like to re-read some of my favorite books, including my collection of Stephen King’s short stories again. Some of them hold up, some of them don’t, but no matter how many times I go through them, I’m always fine to do it again. According to the Internet, though, some people never revisit something they’ve read before, under the spurious argument that they already know how it goes. Having recently been a re-reader of “Dead Lines,” one of my favorite books of my early twenties, I can tell you, even a book you’ve read a dozen times can give you something new, leading to today’s ever-changing query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks that I’m a different person every single day, and naturally, will process these stories differently at any given time, asking: Are you a re-reader, or do you prefer only one pass on a book?

I opt to buy hardbacks because I re-read them so much. Dune and LOTR are ones I re-read the most.
The hard truth of the matter is that there are just so many things piled up in my yet-to-read pile that finding the time to re-read something just rarely happens. I will occasionally manage to re-read something, and I’m sure that I’d get good stuff out of it if I were to do it more, but there are too many other priorities for my free time for that to be a “thing” that I do.
Definitely a re-reader, especially with comics. As with a lot of movies, i can fairly easily reach back with the same excitement as the first time i read or watched something.
I re-read everything I really liked, but with so many new things to try its sometimes hard to find time, especially when most of my favorites are long, ten to thirty volume mangas. Most of the time I end up picking one book here or there, instead going through the whole thing in order.
