Having just returned from our family vacation, this subject has definitely been on my mind. It’s definitely the thing I look most forward to every year. Any of these dream vacations would include myself, my wife, and two daughters.
i enjoyed the answers from the crew. It was a great episode. Thank you!
5. Warm Waters. Kind of vague, but the waters here in New England are mostly cold (actually, the current keeps them warmer than you’d think). Nevertheless, I’d love to go somewhere where I could walk into the water and not cringe as the water touched me.
4. Clear Skies. Living in the northeast, even on the clearest nights, light pollution generally makes it difficult to see more than a few stars and planets. I want to vacation somewhere, perhaps a desert, that’s far enough away from major cities that I can see the sky the way our ancestors did.
3. Street Food. Again, very general, but most of my vacations revolve around eating. One of the first things I do when we choose where to travel is to start researching where to eat. For a dream vacation, I’d love to travel to anywhere that has a great selection of Street Food, where I could walk down the street an taste all the local cuisine. Any country would do, but I feel like Asian countries would have the most intriguing and delicious selections.
2. A season in New England. Seems like a strange pick since I live here, but most of our summer vacations have been 4-7 days in one of our neighboring states, and I have loved every one of them. If money and time were no object, I’d love to spend an entire season exploring New England, from Maine Coast to the Green Mountains in Vermont, and everywhere in between. Summer would be great, but I’d love to do a Spring or Autumn trip as well.
1. A month in Walt Disney World: Yes, a month…minimum. In 2012, we were blessed to be able to take a 14 day trip to WDW and it was glorious. We stayed on property, didn’t have a car, and spent 2-3 days in each park, while taking several leisure days away from the action too. If money and time were no object, I’d love to spend at least 4 weeks there, probably from Halloween to Thanksgiving, but any season would do. That is my dream vacation.
