You may remember that Donald Glover was working on a Deadpool animated series for FX. It was recently announced the project had been dumped by the network, and with the project dead in the water, Donald Glover took to Twitter to share the first episode script.

I like how he starts off by stating he wasn’t too busy to work on the project, which was one of the reasons FX used to drop the series.
There is more to this story than what is currently being shared by FX or from Donald Glover, so I would keep an eye on the social media outlets to see how this all plays out.
One interesting thing to note is that 21st Century Fox is currently in talks to be purchased by Disney, and with Disney’s ownership of Marvel (which owns Deadpool), there may be some issues involved with the Deadpool animated series and the two X-Men movies that have been bumped to 2019 that are intertwined with the sale. It could be that Disney doesn’t want these three properties out and about during the transition as it could affect the market value of the studio – and thus how much Disney is able to buy the studio. There may also be issues involving the sale that are less complicated if the Marvel owned movies and television series arrive after the sale is complete.
