Over at Comic Twart, the theme of the week is G.I. Robot, and so far, Ron Salas’ piece is the one I like the most.
I was planning to add some colour to this–and I probably will at a later date–but I’ll call this finished for now.

1. It’s G.I. Robot, star of some of the best Weird War stories.
2. It’s in grayscale (black and white) and harkens back to the era.
3. The whole “This Is Your Friend. He Fights For Freedom.” just really makes me think about the African-American soldier of the day and how they did not have as many rights as their fellow soldiers…
I wish we could get posters of these art appreciation pieces!
