The guest talked and talked and talked about other creators ego problems and yet took every opportunity tout his own
Whether that guy is right or wrong I hope he doesn’t get another job in the industry again. I apologize to you Wayne for this man bringing down your 150th podcast. I really enjoy listening to your interviews and despite what this guy says I hope the industry is strong enough to do at least 150 more.
I have to stand up here for Mr. Layton. I have had discussions with him at several conventions, and he discussed many of the things we talked about, all of which I think are important as far as the industry goes. He’s continued to grow in his professional life, so I also liked his discussions about that as well. I sought him out for this episode, and I will happily talk with him again in the future! I’ve heard a lot of positive comments about this interview privately, and I appreciate that there’s often a different of opinion regarding someone of stature in the comics industry. Some folks despise Stan Lee while others adore him. I think the same is true of Mr. Layton, who is always taking chances when it comes to being creative. If you get no other message from him than that, it will have been more than worth it! Thanks for listening regardless of what you thought!
