Production began on Ant-Man this week, and the first image of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang has been released.
Why is he living in a van down by the river? We know that Scott Lang is an ex-con who is “hired” by Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas) to correct problems in his company run by Darren Cross (played by Corey Stoll).
“The way technology has advanced just in the last few years, picturing this world, what they can do with this kind of story line and character, I thought this could be something that could be very strange and hasn’t been seen before,” Rudd says. “I was really excited about being a part of something like that.”
Also appearing in the movie are Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, John Slattery as Howard Stark, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, and more.
Ant-Man is still expected to land in theaters July 17, 2015.
