Good news for Chronicle and Fantastic Four fans. Deadline is reporting that Josh Trank has officially been brought on board as the director for the Fantastic Four reboot. More than likely this film will have no ties to the first two movies, and 20th Century Fox expects that Trank will direct the film as his next project, even though the director has been attached to a number of projects.

Please don’t let it be an origin story…
Of COURSE it’s going to be an origin story! Haven’t we just watched Peter Parker getting bit by a radioactive spider for the gazilllionth time just a few days ago? I didn’t pan the first FF movie as bad as I did the second (which was “Superman Returns” bad). But some director will decide that they need to “build a whole new dynamic” or some such other rot. Just don’t make Galactus a big pile of dirt…
as long as Jessica Alba isnt Sue Storm i’m cool.
