The CW’s Arrow pilot is well underway, and Warner Bros. has released a first look at the costume and star Stephen Amell for you to check out.
Arrow’s costume was designed by Oscar winning costume designer Colleen Atwood.
ARROW pilot director/executive producer David Nutter said: “When I directed the pilot for Smallville, I knew that making Clark Kent relatable would be the key to audiences believing in him as a hero. ARROW is a different show — darker and harder-edged — but it’s the same core idea. We’re creating a real, believable world in which Oliver Queen can do incredible things. Colleen Atwood’s great work on the Arrow costume reflects that effort.
While it may not be directly out of the comic book pages, The CW did a good job with Smallville, so this might turn out to be another hit for the network.

Longbow Hunters redux. Mike Grell should be pissed.
I don’t know, I kinda like it. I hope this doesn’t suck.
The bow doesn’t look cool enough for me. To tiny
The bow does look small but it makes good sense for an urban environment. A city is not really a good place to be sporting around a longbow.
Looks a lot like Smallville’s version but with long sleeves, no forearms pads/armor, and possibly a more functional-looking hood. Not that there was really much in the way of other directions to go with the costume.
I’d like to see it better lit and a front view, but what I can see looks good.
