PRESS RELEASE
After three years as President and Co-Publisher of Massive Publishing, which he co-founded with Michael Calero and Trevor Richardson. Kevin Roditeli is stepping away to focus on his creative pursuits. During his tenure, Roditeli played a key role in shaping the company’s vision alongside CEO/Co-Publisher Michael Calero, delivering a diverse and dynamic lineup of comics to shelves year after year.
“I couldn’t be more proud of what Kevin, Trevor, and myself built with Massive Publishing, especially with the direction the company is going with Massive Indies. It’s hard to see my closest partner step away from Massive but I am Kevin’s biggest fan and will be cheering him on at every step he takes in this new journey.” – Michael Calero, CEO, Massive Publishing
In the past year, Roditeli authored two standout series as a creator, including Bad Omens: Concrete Jungle, created with the Billboard-charting band for Sumerian Comics. The series became one of the most successful musician-comic collaborations to date. He also released his creator-owned series, Washed In The Blood, a post-apocalyptic tale about a teenager who becomes the messiah of a frozen wasteland after hearing the voice of the goddess of guns. The series received high praise from fans and critics, with reviewer Blake’s Buzz stating, “If you give yourself to Roditeli’s narrative, it will take you somewhere, and you’ll arrive at the end smarter than whence you started,” and Comicbook Poser calling it “the best storytelling (both textually and artistically) that I HAVE EVER SEEN.”
Kevin Roditeli is now fully dedicated to freelance writing, pursuing licensed projects that align with his unique voice, while developing his own original comic series with potential publishers. Beyond comics, he has secured initial funding for his debut film, which he will write and direct. Roditeli and the Massive team remain on good terms and look forward to future collaborations, including the release of one of his creator-owned series and his involvement in an upcoming licensed project from Massive.
“My energy and focus are now fully dedicated to creation. Balancing publishing with my own projects was a challenge, but my mind has never stopped racing—I have dozens of stories ready for development. I’m eager to collaborate with passionate artists and publishers to push the boundaries of comics. It’s exciting to be in a unique position as a freelance creator who has led successful crowdfunding campaigns and sold millions of comics to local shops.” – Kevin Roditeli
Kevin Roditeli welcomes all publishers and studios to reach out via social media or at kevin@kevinroditeli.com to discuss writing opportunities or explore his catalog of original works available for publishing.

Kevin Roditeli was a comic book retailer in Quebec, Canada, from 2016 to 2019, and he has been a professional publisher since 2020. Before Massive Publishing, he played a key role in Behemoth Comics’ rise to the top 10 of direct-market Publishers by strategically importing European comics and indie film adaptations into the monthly market. As publisher and founder of Behemoth’s Happy Tank imprint, he oversaw notable titles like MFKZ (a French cult comic and Netflix anime), Turbo Kid (based on the Canadian indie film), and his creator-owned series Freak Snow, which sold over 50,000 copies. He also led licensed comics editing and video game development until Behemoth’s 2022 acquisition by Sumerian Records, rebranding as Sumerian Comics.
ABOUT MASSIVE PUBLISHING
Over the past few years, the company has seen unprecedented success, selling hundreds of thousands of copies of its 2022 launch titles—Alpha Betas, Ninja Funk, Wesley Snipes’ The Exiled, and Quested—through its imprint, Whatnot Publishing, in partnership with Whatnot. In 2023-2024, Massive Publishing expanded with branded titles like Sean Murphy’s The Plot Holes, David Crownson’s Harriet Tubman: Demon Slayer, and Eye Lie Popeye. A crowdfunding campaign for Murphy’s Zorro: Man Of The Dead raised over $350,000 in a month. The company also introduced Massive Select, a premium brand for exclusive products, limited variants, and specialty items, including an IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles exclusive. Strategic releases with Sumerian Comics (American Psycho), Printed In Blood (Bernie Wrightson Artbook: A Tribute), and Studio Lounak (Assassin’s Creed: Visionaries) further expanded the company’s role as a partnership brand. In 2025, the Massive Indies program will provide distribution solutions for independent publishers and studios.
