Mad Cave Studios announced Flash Gordon Quarterly #1 is scheduled to arrive in September, featuring the works of very talented writers and artists.
Writer Dennis Culver (Unstoppable Doom Patrol, Justice League Incarnate) and artist Pasquale Qualano (Batman: The Brave and The Bold, Gargoyles) expand the revamped mainline universe with a thrilling tale of the winged warrior King Vultan and his beloved Sky City under siege by a swarm of nefarious mercenaries.
Meanwhile, for the first time in nearly a century, the Flash Gordon mythos journeys into the unknown of the multiverse with FLASH FICTION! Bringing familiar characters into exciting and different genres and worlds, anything can happen as long as your imagination allows it!
Writer Louis Southard (Comics Are Dying: The Comic, Midnight Western Theatre) and artist Nuno Plati (The Amazing Spider-Man, The Superior Foes of Spider-Man) break us into the multiverse with a story that could only be called “The Battle of Little Mingo”. Set in a wild west, it’s all cacti and tumbleweeds when evil is afoot and only a lone sheriff can stop it!
Last, but certainly not least, we jump into the next world over with writer Jordan Thomas (MUGSHOTS, Weird Work) and artist Russell Olson. In “Flash Detective Services”, a hardboiled investigator must take on the criminal element terrorizing this noir-inspired dimension!
