This past weekend, MegaCon visitors enjoyed exclusive reveals from prominent comic creators, including Geoff Johns, Joshua Williamson, Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Simone Di Meo, and Mitch Gerads.
A new Dawn of DC trailer with artwork from renowned artist Jeff Spokes was showcased at MegaCon. The trailer will air during episodes of AEW Dynamite and AEW Rampage on TNT in May and on HBO Max.
In September, Batman and Robin, written by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by Simone Di Meo, will see Bruce and Damian Wayne reunite to investigate mysterious cases and monsters in Gotham. Fans got a sneak peek at the first issue’s cover, interior artwork, and Robin Mobile designs.
The Flash’s 800th issue will be available on June 6, featuring stories from legendary writers Mark Waid, Geoff Johns, Joshua Williamson, and Jeremy Adams. At MegaCon, Johns unveiled five never-before-seen pages by Scott Kolins, while Williamson shared that his story will focus on Barry Allen and Iris West’s relationship.
Superman #3 and Action Comics #1054 also got previews from Williamson and Phillip Kennedy Johnson, respectively. A new costume for Superman and a variant cover for the upcoming Green Lantern: War Journal were among the reveals.
Justice Society of America #4 will follow Helena Wayne’s journey through time, with issue #6 marking the convergence of the New Golden Age and Dawn of DC for the first time.
Lastly, Eisner Award-winning artist Mitch Gerads discussed his and Tom King’s work on Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which will feature a terrifying four-part retelling of the first violent encounter between The Joker and Batman.
