Bringing the latest The Expanse series to comic fans took a different route at BOOM! Studios, this time going through Kickstarter to raise funds for the mini-series. The campaign ended last week, with BOOM! Studios bringing in $1.4 million for the sci-fi series.
This isn’t the first time BOOM! Studios has gone to Kickstarter for a project. The company previously ran a campaign for BRZRKR (which wraps its run this week), Irredeemable, Giant Days, The Dark Crystal, and Kluas, which each ended with totals in the six figures.
