Canadian / British indie publisher Dead Good Comics today confirmed its next release is the two-issue mini-series OCTOBRIANA AND THE UNDERGROUND: FULL TILT BOOGIE, launching May 3, 2023.
Following on from the all-star Octobriana With Love 50th Anniversary Edition, the series continues to celebrate the enigmatic and controversial Soviet era superhero Octobriana. Get ready for two exciting tales + a special two-page recap of previous events for new readers, with a main cover illustration by Yanick Paquette and Nathan Fairbairn, plus retailer incentives from Flops Comics (5:1) and Michael Cho (10:1).
GameSpot and Giant Bomb’s Lucy James makes their comic book writing debut in DOXXING MATCH, throwing the Underground into a madcap VR metaverse, featuring eye-popping art from Simone Ragazzoni (Power Rangers Universe).
Stu Taylor and N. Steven Harris take a trip back to the 1970s in GOD HATES A COWARD. A simple heist mission hits a snag, when the Underground collide with the combined machinations of Baba Yaga, Sister Disturbia and the best that the Soviet Red Army has to offer… Mother Russia!
The first 32-page, full color issue of Octobriana and the Underground: Full Tilt Boogie will be widely available through comic stores via Diamond Distribution on May 3, 2023 for $3.99 USD.

ABOUT OCTOBRIANA
Octobriana debuted in the controversial book Octobriana and the Russian Underground, written by Petr Sadecky in 1971, who claimed that the titular Amazon was created by an underground anti-Soviet group. Sadecky’s elaborate tale was soon debunked and the truth revealed that he had stolen and doctored the artwork of two prominent Czech artists to create the Octobriana myth.
Even though the bizarre circumstances of her publishing origins are mired in deception and controversy, Octobriana achieved underground cult status, and is still appearing in comic books, graffiti, art installations, etc, 50 years on from her creation. And that’s not including the fact that David Bowie was going to make a movie about her, or that 1980s rocker Billy Idol proudly has a tattoo of the Russian Devil-Woman.
