She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Trailer
On Wednesday of this week Marvel Studios and Disney+ dropped the first She-Hulk: Attorney at Law teaser trailer on the internet:
Official Trailer | She-Hulk: Attorney at Law | Disney+
You’ll like her when she’s angry.She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, an Original series from Marvel Studios, starts streaming August 17 on Disney+. ► Watch Marvel on …
This comes out of the television upfronts currently underway in New York City – in case you were wondering why there is so much television news breaking this week.
Marvel streaming fans have had mixed reactions from thrilled to see the character brought to the screen at long last, excited to have a new trailer drop so close to the Ms Marvel teaser trailer, and frustrated over the effectiveness of the CGI on the show.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law stars Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black, Perry Mason), as Jennifer Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk – one of the best lawyers in the Marvel Universe. The trailer is chalk full of Marvel cameos including: Tim Roth’s Abomination, Jameela Jamil’s Tatiana, and FROG-MAN!? It’s a fun trailer set in Los Angeles instead of New York and continues the trend of phase 4 MCU content feeling like a tonal pivot into what the new universe is going to look like.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law debuts on Disney+ August 17th.
Daredevil Swings to Disney+
Further to the great lawyers of Marvel Comics … Variety broke the news yesterday that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will be getting its third incarnation in the form of a Disney+ streaming series following his cameo appearance in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Per Variety:
Rumors have persisted for some time that a Disney+ series about the Man Without Fear was in the works, especially considering that two of the stars of the Netflix “Daredevil” series — Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio — have appeared in recent Marvel projects. Cox once again played Matt Murdock, the secret identity of Daredevil, in the film “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” while D’Onofrio reprised the role of Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, in the Disney+ series “Hawkeye.”
It now appears that the project is picking up steam with the hiring of Corman and Ord, although Marvel has yet to announce anything regarding the show formally.
Covert Affairs creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to service as writers and Executive Producers.
Social media exploded with fans celebrating the series return and has left others wondering if the Disney+ version of Daredevil will push to the same limits the original Netflix series did. Only time will tell.

Sharing with fans the debut appearances of Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Bow, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, and Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela.
Along with an official synopsis which seems to follow in the footsteps of Superman & Lois, by establishing this show as very much NOT THE ARROWVERSE:
Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan, “De Son Vivant”) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan, “Days of Our Lives”), an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe, “grown-ish”), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara, “The Virgin of Highland Park”), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins, “Supernatural”) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore, “All American”), and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson, “Raven’s Home”). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the GOTHAM KNIGHTS.
Twisted Metal Podcast Casts Stephanie Beatriz
Per Variety Encanto star Stephanie Beatriz has joined Anthony Mackie and Thomas Haden Church.
Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions are developing the series, which is based on the “Twisted Metal” vehicular combat games, the first of which was released in 1995. It was originally reported in 2019 that Sony was interested in developing a series based on the games.
… adding …
In the half-hour show, Mackie will play John Doe, a motor-mouthed outsider who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief (Beatriz), he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
Beatriz’s character is named Quiet. She is further described as a ferocious, badass car thief who acts purely on instinct – you couldn’t stop her any more than a manhole could stop a volcano. Coming from a community that oppressed her into silence, Quiet’s wish is to find her place in this dark, chaotic world. But when she becomes clouded by her need for revenge, Quiet forms an unlikely, antagonistic bond with John Doe.
Beatriz publicly made a play to be cast as Batwoman when the CW show was seeking a new lead. While Twisted Metal isn’t a Big Two Comic Book property, she’s certainly landed in the same genre!
