With Scream in the movie theaters, Heavy Metal magazine (yes, THAT Heavy Metal magazine), has announced the latest issue features a historical fiction story from David Arquette (yes, THAT David Arquette).
Heavy Metal Magazine #313 features “Valentine,” an epic new historical fiction comic by David Arquette (Scream) and Cliff Dorfman (Entourage), the newest installments of the sci-fi revenge story The Demon Princes, the next chapter of George C. Romero’s horror series The Rise, and new chapters of Matthew Medney’s Dark Wing and Ron Marz’s Swamp God.
In an interview with SyFy Wire, Arquette said, “When I’m acting, I always lean heavily on human behavior and spontaneity, but there are limits to your imagination in the real world. On a set, you have writers, directors, executives, etc., telling you what to do. In the world of comics, you can go anywhere, do anything, be anyone, create worlds you can only dream of. So, I get to channel everything I can’t put into my real world characters into comics. Plus, you have the beautiful, added gift of being able to work with incredible fine artists, like Bernard Chang, with imaginations that absolutely blow your mind.”
Heavy Metal #313 is available right now.
