Daniel LaRusso was trained by an unconventional sensei, using fence painting and floor waxing techniques. Val Armorr was trained in a monastery on an alien planet to learn the way of many martial arts. One has super-karate. One has a crane kick. Each has good hair and a white gi. Indeed, it’s one of those questions that seems obvious on the face of it, and yet, here we are with today’s kung-fu query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks that this is one of those questions that will get answered by popularity rather than in-universe logic, and that’s okay, too, asking: Which martial artist is the best around: Karate Kid or The Karate Kid?

One died a hero, the other became a car salesman. KK number one!
I will take Super-Karate over Crane Karate any day.
