As a huge fan of the PS4 Spider-Man games, I am still amazed at the depth of the alternate costumes available, from Spider-Punk to Erik Larsen’s Spider-Borg to the Bombastic Bag-Man. (As an aside, the Miles Morales sequel has nearly as many cool options, but for some reason doesn’t get nearly as much love from fans.) He has as many variants as Superman, though neither of them is quite to the level of Batman yet, leading to today’s wardrobe query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks that the obvious answer is THIS Superman costume, asking: Which second set of clothes is the BEST alternate costume of all?

The yellow and brown Wolverine costume that was inspired by Timber Wolf of the Legion of Super-heroes by way of Fang of the Shi’ar Imperial Guard. Better than TW, best of Logan’s outfits.
Not kidding when i say this, the ocean camo Aquaman suit from the late 80s. I realize as a silver age creation for children, he needed to be bright orange/green (yknow, totally normal ocean colors), but there’s just something about that dark 80s suit with all the waves and patterns inside it that i love. If they could’ve figured out how to incorporate the scale mail/fins motif of the “classic” suit to that 80s suit, it really could’ve been something.
One of my knee-jerk responses was going to be the 80s era Black Canary with headband, pointy shoulder pads, and poofed out bangs. But then I figured, it was a look that is very much of its time, so decided to go with something more timeless.
Black Spider-Man contested by yellow and brown Wolverine.
