With the news of the upcoming Batman/Fables crossover pitting the Dark Knight against Bigby Wolf, I’m once again reminded how much I miss the days of Vertigo Comics. When the line began, I was reading Hellblazer, Sandman, Swamp Thing and Morrison’s Animal Man, but the imprint also gave us the wonderful We3, the inexplicable Seaguy and the deep-fried blasphemy that was Preacher, which leads us to today’s uncensored query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) can’t wait for the inevitable Invisibles/Harley Quinn collision, where the fourth wall will get pierces more often than King Mob himself, asking: Which property that used to be Vertigo should be the next DCU crossover?

I know there have been bits and pieces of this concept in Batman comics, but DMZ. I dunno if the idea of a second civil war and citizens taking increasingly extreme sides against each other hits a little too close nowadays, but seeing these godlike paragons of hope like Supes and WW, and more cynical characters like Green Arrow and Batman having to stem the tide of the “regular” people they swore to protect all trying to kill each other over ideas and beliefs seems like a really interesting ideological exercise.
We3 and Captain Carrot.
