After a recent Ten Things, I’ve been thinking about matters of coloring in comic books. Scott McCloud pointed out that traditional four-color printing made the green/purple combination of The Hulk part of the character, but Batman has been several different shades of blue/grey/black over the years. In the ’90s, he was even all-black, with no trunks or yellow oval bat, pushing him towards the greatest of Wally Wood’s costume designs, the all-red Daredevil suit. A monochrome costume is a bold move, and also a hard one to pull off, leading to today’s Pantone query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) loves Iron Man’s red/gold palette, but has to admit that the all-gold Kirby armor somehow looked more cohesive, dynamic and machine-y, asking: What single-color uniform is the best monochrome costume of them all?

This is a tough one. Not even Black Panther wears only one color if we are strict. Daredevil is maybe acceptable. I’ll go with goggles Catwoman.
Are you trolling for someone to say “Dream Girl by Dave Cockrum?”
