Act Two of the event that births a universe kicks off as Frontier faces Thunder Woman, electric inspiration itself!
MATTHEW: This… is a really good book, and I recommend you check it out so we can have more of it once this 12-issue series ends. Seriously, it’s quite enjoyable.

INGRID: Ami is a musician, but she’s also kind of a lost soul. Now she’s helping a haunted house get itself back together. This is an engaging and horrifying story and is become moreso as we realize that the house is hiding much of the truth from Ami. This is one tale that keeps you guessing.
THE LAST WITCH #2

Publisher: BOOM! Studios
Cover Price: $4.99
SOLICITATION: Captured by the witch known as The Cailleach, Saoirse discovers the true power of her mysterious mark! But even though she’s saved her brother Brahm, Saoirse must grapple with the truth about her family and their shocking connection to an enemy more dangerous than they ever imagined. Every issue of The Last Witch is oversized, featuring more than 30 story pages.
CHRISTOPHER: The first issue caught my attention enough to want to pick up the second one. I’m not completely sold on it, but I think the creative team will create a good story.
INGRID: This is a story that feels very traditional yet, at the same time has a fresh overlay that makes it feel like it could go anywhere. The stakes are huge and getting bigger, and Saoirse is a determined heroine who is growing up fast.
STEPHEN: This is a beautifully drawn book, and the story is steeped in ancient lore. There is definitely an audience for this tale of a girl discovering her destiny and the greater world around her, and I hope a lot of people can find this gem.
THE MAPMAKER #1
Writer: Ben Slabak

The crew of the privateer ship The Rogue Wave, captained by the courageous Lei Li, are the only ones standing in their way with a mission to deliver The Mapmaker’s successor before his power wanes and is lost forever. A fun tale for all ages! Enjoy the first issue of this NON-STOP! followed by the entire story collected soon after in one volume.
CHRISTOPHER: I’ve been enjoying the young reader stories that Scout Comics have been putting out. The premise is intriguing, and this is something I am sure I can read with my daughter.
ORCS! #1 (of 6)
Writer: Christine Larsen
Artist: Christien Lasen
Publisher: BOOM! Studios
Cover Price: $4.99
SOLICITATION: For fans of The Adventure Zone and Critical Role, meet Bog and his misfit crew of Orcs as they adventure through the Known World courtesy of acclaimed cartoonist Christine Larsen (Adventure Time). After being banished from their Orcish village by King Hrograhgah (it was a simple misunderstanding, involving an acorn-related prank!), Bog and his crew venture out into the world to seek their fortune, and hopefully find their way back home again. Tag along with Bog, Zep, Pez, Utzu and Gurh as they venture through the dreaded Eerieasallhel Forest, face off against Trolls, Gnomes, squirrels and more, and follow in the footsteps of the legendary Orc hero, Drod One-Eye! Every issue of Orcs! is oversized, featuring more than 30 story pages.
CHRISTOPHER: This is my cup of tea. A strong cast of characters in a fantasy world is sure to be enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing what direction this series goes!
RED SONJA: THE SUPERPOWERS #2
Writer: Dan Abnett
Artist: Jonathan Lau
Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Sonja The Red tries to kill the strange outsiders that have invaded her lands. But Sonja and these “heroes” have a common enemy…a daemonic presence with strange technologies, that requires human sacrifice!
MATTHEW: The first issue was a little wobbly, but this has the potential to be an epic, memorable comic. Whether that’s as a clever subversion or a massive train wreck is still up in the air, but either way I’m watching.
RORSCHACH #5
Writer: Tom King
Artist: Jorge Fornes
Publisher: DC Comics/Black Label
Cover Price: $4.99
SOLICITATION: Rorschach tried to kill the leading contender to unseat President Redford, a governor by the name of Turley who has a lot to say. Turley believes the Redford people were behind the hit, but the detective investigating the case isn’t so sure. To prove Turley wrong, he has to figure out how Rorschach and Laura got so close to actually doing the job, and the answer to that might be deep in the Turley campaign itself, including the governor’s past with a masked man called the Comedian.
MATTHEW: Having disliked the first issue, I was quite angry to find out that #4 was really good, and now I’m back to be made about this issue. GRRR.
ROBOT OVERLORD: It never pays to kick a skunk.
