CHRISTOPHER: Every time this book comes out, it is like a breath of fresh air. While there is a lot of depth, there is a sense of calm and hope within the pages.

An epic battle ensues…one in which the Cimmerian’s might and force of will is put to the ultimate test!
STEPHEN: This turned out to be a great series (get all the issues for the complete story)! A lovely adaptation of the Robert E. Howard story, and the art by Recht is beautiful! Beware though, this series isn’t for kids as there’s some nekkid and some sexy going on in this series.
THE COMIC BOOK HISTORY OF ANIMATION #3
Writer: Fred Van Lente
Artist: Ryan Dunlavey
Publisher: IDW Publishing

SOLICITATION: The team behind IDW’S Comic Book History of Comics returns with a brand-new series! After World War II, “CARTOON COOL” brings a new hipness to toonmakers—but new dangers too! The legendary UPA defies Disney-esque cuteness to redefine the medium… but can they survive the House Un-American Activities Committee? Uncle Walt wades into controversy with The Song of the South. While over at Warner Brothers, Looney Tunes master Chuck Jones revolutionizes the short subject with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck!
INGRID: Who knew how fascinating the history of animation was? Obviously, the team on this book. Welcome to a world creating itself on the fly, full of larger-than-life personalities and a surprising amount of drama besides. This one is well worth the read.
SPECTER INSPECTORS #1
Writer: Bowen McCurdy and Kaitlyn Musto
Artist: Bowen McCurdy
Publisher: BOOM! Studios
Cover Price: $4.99
SOLICITATION: For fans of supernatural stories like Blackbird and Vampironica comes a new series from Bowen McCurdy (The Long Way Home) & rising star Kaitlyn Musto introducing the Spector Inspectors, who live that Scooby Doo life chasin’ ghosts! True believer Noa, her cynical little sibling Gus, credulous camera man Ko, and skeptical Astrid head to one of the most haunted towns in America to prove that ghosts exist, for all the social media likes! The investigations of hauntings uncover something more devilish than just a couple of ghosts, something that will put Noa and Astrid’s relationship to the test… and reveal the centuries-old sinister secrets of the town itself. Every issue of Specter Inspectors is oversized, featuring more than 30 story pages.
INGRID: There cab be something fun about supernatural stories, especially in comics where the limit is imagination. While four young people are out filming their latest exploration, it sounds like they run into more than they bargained for!
STEPHEN: I am so looking forward to this! In a world where everyone wants Scooby-Doo, I’m hoping McCurdy and Musto take this story into places we’ve not seen before and make it fun!
ROBOT OVERLORD: Your dream will come true when you least expect it.
