Did You Hear? is a weekly examination of headlines in the entertainment industry and a take on what they could mean for the future of the industry and (often), the little geeky bubble that we occupy!
**this post is a breakdown of all the media events which emerged from DC Fandome
Zack Snyder’s Justice League Trailer

If you are me you never believed this cut or this trailer was ever going to happen, but I was definitely impressed with it! Seeing Darkseid (or a previz version of him), has broken Twitter into two distinct camps. For the most part the trailer includes entirely unseen footage which seems to imply we’re going to get a much more different Justice League than I initially thought.
Plus … as a HUGE fan of Cyborg, the new (slightly spoiler-y), Cyborg storyline reveal in the trailer seems to herald a lot of tragedy for these characters as well.
The Batman Teaser
The Batman – DC FanDome Teaser
Robert Pattinson is #TheBatman.https://www.instagram.com/thebatman/https://www.facebook.com/thebatmanhttps://twitter.com/thebatmanhttp://thebatman.comFrom Wa…
Besides Justice League, The Batman has been the largest question mark in DC fans minds. The production was only active for a couple weeks before it was suspended indefinitely due to Covid-19. With this foreknowledge I was, frankly, floored to see a teaser that actually seems like it’s telling a story!
Robert Pattinson’s Batman and Bruce Wayne are featured prominently throughout, Colin Farrell’s Penguin debuts alongside Zoe Kravtiz’s Catwoman …
… but the real hero of this trailer is Jeffrey Wright’s James Gordon!
The Batman teaser is moody and dark (as one may suspect), and has clearly taken inspiration from what Christopher Nolan brought to The Dark Knight years ago.
Wonder Woman 1984 Reveals Cheetah
Wonder Woman 1984 – Official Main Trailer
The new era of Wonder Woman begins here. #WW84 only in theaters. http://www.facebook.com/WonderWomanFilmhttp://twitter.com/WonderWomanFilmhttp://www.instagra…
Sad news, everybody! WW84 was supposed to have been in cinemas by this time. You know, as well as I do, this is not the case. While I don’t necessarily think this latest trailer adds much to what viewers are already expecting from Wonder Woman 1984 it did give us a first look at Cheetah.
If you don’t count all the action figures which spoiled the design months ago.
As is the case with Darkseid, fans are split on Cheetah with reactions ranging from deep enthusiasm to questions about whether or not this is a final render from the character. Given the fact that we know Wonder Woman 1984 would have been out by now my bet is this trailer was originally slated for Wonder Con 2020, but was moved to DC Fandome when the event planning was in its infancy. If this is the case and not just me sitting behind my computer wearing a tinfoil hat this could explain why Cheetah may appear slightly more rendered in the final film version.

Black Adam Teaser
Black Adam – Official Teaser (2021) Dwayne Johnson | DC FanDome
Dwayne Johnson is set to star as the DC Comics anti-hero in this film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. The DC FanDome panel presented concept art of what fans…
Boss Logic (an all-time fave Instragram follow of mine), Jim Lee, and Dwayne Johnson got together to put together a concept tease for the upcoming Black Adam movie – a project I refer to as “being in development since I was living in my last apartment”. As far as we know nothing has been shot for Black Adam to date, although we do know Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Cyclone, Stargirl, and Atom Smasher are slated to appear in the cast!
Flash Gets Another New Costume
Yes, we get a new spin on The Flash during each new season of the television show and it appears The Flash movie team wants to get in on the fun as well. Andy Muschietti, the latest director to helm the project, headed up a panel where Barry Allen’s newest suit was revealed to the world. Despite DC Fandome being rife with teasers and trailers (as evidenced above), the speedster was not captured on video for this event.
All of this plus video game trailers and gameplay, animated movie news, comic book announcements, and geeky goodness debuted at DC Fandome last weekend. Hop down to the comments to let me know which of the stories grabbed your attention? Which piece of news should I have written about? When is Marvel going to give us something similar! I can’t wait to read your thoughts!
