When they debuted the various siblings of Billy Batson in the ‘Flashpoint’ timeline, I was kind of interested in the concept, espeically the part where they, together, formed Captain Thunder. Somehow, when Team SHAZAM debuted as individual heroes in the mainstream DCU, the concept left me cold. I don’t know if it’s the fact that it feels like a copy of writer Geoff John’s Emotional Spectrum in the pages of Green Lantern or if it’s just a matter of wishing that the Big Red Cheese is a strong enough character to be free from the endless meddling of modern DC, but I miss the old Marvel Family, leading us to today’s rainbow-sprinkles query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) paradoxically found the other kids to be delightful in the ‘Shazam!’ live-action film, making me wonder if it’s jus the Gary Frank designs that disturb me, asking: Are the six kids of Team SHAZAM too much or just enough?

It’s six steps beyond too much. My eyes still hurt from rolling that hard.
