If you are looking for a very unique bit of Star Trek history, Heritage Auctions is offering up a full-size photon torpedo that was used in Star Trek Generations.
“It’s not every day any of us come across screen-used props from a Star Trek film, let alone one of the series’ most iconic weapons,” said Jon Steffens, a Valuation Specialist & Consignment Director in the Entertainment Department at Heritage Auctions. “This life-sized photon torpedo measures six feet long and would surely be one of the more impressive pieces in the collection of any Trek aficionado.”
This (photon torpedo), seen in Generations aboard the Amargosa Observatory, was part of the arsenal amassed by Malcolm McDowell’s Dr. Tolian Soran in his attempt to destroy a star and return to the Nexus, where anyone can live any life of which they dream for all eternity.
Currently, the bidding is at a mere $260, which seems like a steal for anyone who is able to get their hands on this piece of film history. Of course, with three more days to go on the auction, the price could skyrocket.
