    Major Spoilers Question of the Day: Girl Next Door Edition

    There’s a common theme that I keep running into in the pop culture world, pitting the vampy, exotic-but-wholesome sexy girl versus the sweet, unassuming girl next door.  Lots of arguments arise over whether Ginger is superior to Maryanne or whether Archie should date Betty or Veronica.  But, as a firm believer in the wonder of the cute-but-sensible type, I believe that the real decision is one between Winfield, Kansas and Riverdale, leading to today’s truly difficult query…

    The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks that Dawn Wells is still beautiful, even in her 80s, which makes things even more difficult, asking: Which Girl Next Door wins top marks: Maryanne Summers or Betty Cooper?
