I don’t know about all of you, but Dr. Leonard McCoy’s distrust of the Starfleet transporter system always seemed perfectly rational to me. Maybe it’s because I’m just old enough that one of my primary Star Trek memories was seeing two officers melt into sludge on the transporter pad in the first Star Trek movie. For my money, the teleporter bracelets from ‘Blake’s 7’ were much more useful, especially since they were carried on one’s person, rather than accessed from the ship itself. Either way, the question of best teleporter is also probably one of “least expensive visual effect”, leading to today’s atomized query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) always thought that the JLA’s transporters were a step too far, bending the rules of the DC Universe too much, even with Superman and other fantastic elements in play, asking: What teleportation system constitutes the BEST teleporter?

Wizard spells are usually the best, they don’t have that malfunction liability technology always has.
That’s a good point, and those spells usually have the best visual effects (like Dr Fate or Dr Strange).
