With the news that all 953 seasons of ‘The Simpsons’ will be available exclusively on Disney+ in coming days, I have a couple of worries. First, I wonder if that subscriber-only access will mean that the show disappears from the public consciousness more quickly than ‘Ally McBeal’ and secondly, I worry that FXX doesn’ thave enough content to fill a 7-day week any longer. Even with the upcoming Season 31, the show still seems to have something in its metaphorical tank, especially given Fox’s cancellation tendencies, and even though people have been declaring the show dead and no longer funny since the fall of 1989, there’s a lot of memorable TV in Homer’s adventures, leading to today’s cow-having query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) finds it suspect how many people claim not to watch the show anymore and can still poke fun at the most recent seasons, asking: What’s the BEST moment of the seemingly eternal Simpsons?

I agree with all of these, AND my first thought when I read this QotD was Inanimate Carbon Rod.
“Homer, there’s a man here who thinks he can help you.”
“Batman?”
“No, he’s a scientist.”
“Batman’s a scientist.”
“It’s not Batman!”
