Back in the day, Ian Flemming would write short stories for Playboy magazine, and now Bond is returning to the glossy pages of the men’s magazine with a six-page story from the James Bond Origin series by Jeff Parker and Bob Q.
The exclusive six-page story takes readers back to March 1941 and tells the definitive account of James Bond’s exploits during World War II.
“I’m incredibly excited for this little story to hit shelves. Jeff’s a great writer and continues to deliver excellent World War 2 adventures for young James Bond to fight, leap, and swim his way through (in just six pages!!),” said artist Bob Q. “Every moment he concocted was fun to draw. Jordie Bellaire’s colors and Simon Bowland’s letters bring the whole thing together. I hope the fun we had making it translates to the pages.”
The November/December issue of Playboy arrives on magazine racks on October 30, 2018.
