RODRIGO: Oh, oh no, oh no no no, you know I’m here for the Crimson Omnibus. This is exactly the sort of wacky, violent, vampire nonsense that got me through the 90s.
STEPHEN: I rarely recommend a trade paperback on New Comic Book Day, but this is a fun series, and worth picking up if you want to see what Augustyn and Ramos were doing in the late 90s.

This modern take on the classic mystery icon continues from KELLY THOMPSON (Hawkeye, Star Wars, Rogue & Gambit) and JENN ST-ONGE (Giant Days, The Misfits)!
INGRID: I have a lot of affection for Nancy Drew, and I’m enjoying this take on her. We left off issue #1 with quite a cliffhanger and it worked – I want to see what happens next!

His first job? Getting the planet back out of the Phantom Zone!
MATTHEW: I’m not happy with the status quo of the Kent family, but Bendis and DC promise that it’s not what it seems. Man of Steel had some strong moments in it, and I’m willing to give this book a shot, for now.

UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL #34
Writer: Ryan North
Artist: Ryan North
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
Squirrel Girl and Kraven have had a nice day out as civilians, instead of their usual costumed identities! It was really straightforward and uneventful…is what we’d be saying if this was a way more boring comic, WHICH IT ISN’T! Instead we can say that Squirrel Girl and Kraven battled Mojo’s evil clone and saved the city from his deadly machinations. Then they all got arrested! When Doreen Green and Sergei Kravenoff end up BEHIND BARS, can they be saved? Will they even make it to trial? And who will be their lawyer? We can answer that last one: It’s obviously going to be none other than JENNIFER WALTERS, the incredible SHE-HULK! Doreen behind bars! Kraven on the stand! And a conclusion to the trial that nobody will see coming! It’s all this and more in this particular Marvel comic!
INGRID: What can I say? I love Squirrel Girl! This book is cheerful and optimistic and fun, and some days you just need something that’s downright fun.
