Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for the upcoming Venom movie, and this time, we do get to see the symbiote, but the Internet is still upset.
VENOM – Official Trailer (HD)
We Are #Venom. 10.5.18One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hard…
Personally, I like the horror elements of the trailer, and I think the Venom symbiote looks really cool – especially with all internal discussion between Tom Hardy and Venom. I like this. Sure it isn’t the Spider-Man/Venom story from the ’80s, but it is a different take on a classic character.
The Internet isn’t too happy with the trailer with comments ranging from the typical “meh” to some that border on racism.
If you don’t want to see the movie, the good news is no one is making you. Those who prescribe to the “I’m a comic book fan, so, therefore, I must see all comic book movies good and bad, and I’m going to complain about it,” really don’t understand free choice.
While Venom may not be Spider-Man Homecoming, I think it is going to find its audience and it will do just fine at the box office.
