6) PURPLE ROSE
There are few things in life that I love as much as ‘The Warriors’, so this guy appeals to my love of the Baseball Furies. He’s a dual reference to things I don’t even have any affection for: The storied career of baseball legend Pete Rose and the films of Woody Allen. Still, his meta status is elevated even more by the fact that, in his sole appearance, he was advocating for the leadership of the Guild Of Calamitous Intent (essentially a union of super-villains, more of which will be heard later in this list) to be more inclusive, arguing that he wanted more “people of color.”
That pun was horrible.
