A rare double-shot of this trope, Carol Danvers was empowered by a Kree Psyche-Magnitron with powers like Captain Mar-Vell. Those powers were lost in battle with Rogue of The Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants, but later exposure to an alien device gave her another set of powers that she used as Binary. Years later, she lost her Binary powers, regained her Kree powers and returned to action as Ms. Marvel, only to have her OTHER super-powers reappear as well, allowing her to occasionally power up to Binary power-levels again…
