PRESS RELEASE –
Dark Horse is pleased to announce the promotion of its former Vice President of Media Licensing, Nick McWhorter, to Chief Business Development Officer!
As a graduate of the University of Oregon’s business program, McWhorter began his career at Dark Horse by working his way up through the product sales division and later through the licensing division. During this time, McWhorter was instrumental in facilitating and building industry-wide relationships, which helped to lead Dark Horse Comic’s charge into a successful line of video game-related comics products and art books. To date, Nick McWhorter has overseen publishing deals with such notable franchises as Mass Effect, Call of Duty, Halo, Tomb Raider, Plants vs. Zombies, as well as #1 Bestsellers — The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia and The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts!
“Nick McWhorter is an integral member of the Dark Horse team. His personality and communication style make him the perfect choice to work with our many licensing partners. Based on his previous successes, I’m eager to see what he has in store for us in his new role,” said Dark Horse President Mike Richardson.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue to establish Dark Horse as a leader in books based on entertainment licenses. I’m honored to accept this new position and look forward to propelling Dark Horse forward,” said newly appointed Chief Business Development Officer Nick McWhorter.
Please join us in congratulating Nick McWhorter on his past accomplishments, and wishing him luck in his new role in the company!
