    7) DOCTOR REGULUS

    Also known as Alpha Leonis, Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation Leo.  Regulus is suspect to be a binary star, but only the main-sequence star is visible from Earth, with only the gravitic effects indicating the presence of a second, presumed white dwarf companion star.

    Dr. Zaxton Regulus worked in the Metropolis Fusion Power center when an accident nearly killed him.  Fired for his negligence, he returned to murder his boss’s son in revenge, only to give the boy super-powers as Legionnaire Sun Boy.  Regulus took his grudge way too far, repeatedly returning repeatedly to attack Sunny and the Legion Of Super-Heroes with powers derived from radioactive gold…

    Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.
