Also designated 27 Tauri, Atlas A is a B-type star (which raises the question of why it’s not Atlas B, but I’m not a cosmologist… or is that cosmetologist?) that’s part of the Pleiades star cluster in the constellation of Taurus.
Sometimes confused with another hero called Atlas The Mighty (even by me, I have to point out) I.W. Publishing’s Jim Randall is a strong contender for the most garish superhero costume in history. Somehow, though, it still works, especially that high-collar, like a cat that needs to be kept from biting its own stitches…
