4) THE MXYZPTLK/IMPOSSIBLE MAN CONUNDRUM
A long-held fan theory is that Mister Mxyzptlk, a fifth dimensional imp who menaces Superman, is somehow related to The Impossible Man, and alien shape-shifter known for vexing the Fantastic Four. It is, however, not always mentioned that a 1990 issue of Superman made that a canonical (whatever that means) part of Mxy’s post-Crisis existence. Given that there have been at least three world-shattering revamping moments since then, it may no longer be true (heck, it may have never been true at all, just a cute joke), but it’s fun to consider, anyway…
