    The upcoming Iron Fist series has reminded me of what fun the team of headstrong, streetwise Luke Cage and reserved, fish-out-of-water Danny Rand was, back in the day.  Odd couple teams are always fun, though, as pairings like Cable and Deadpool or even Batman and Superman prove, and even the worst teams (that would be Quantum and Woody, for those keeping track) can make for great stories, leading to today’s dynamic dual query…

    The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) has fond memories of Green Lantern and Green Arrow in their ‘Hard-Travelin’ Heroes’ phase, as well, asking: Which fictional odd couple is your favorite of all?

    Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now...       I will have to go with a more cliché Odd Couple of the World’s Finest: Batman and Superman. But I will also say Power Girl and the Huntress, the Legacy version of World’s Finest.
