While perusing the original 1985 Marvel Universe Book Of The Dead (it is SUPER hard to find a decent picture of The Changeling, Faithful Spoilerites), I took the time to calculate some numbers on The Fallen of Earth-616. Of the forty-eight characters designated deceased back in the Reagan Era, twenty-six have been brought back to life in one way or another. That number includes 40% of the headliner heroes from the blockbuster ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ film, the greatest X-Man of them all, and the current director of S.H.I.E.L.D. on TV, but does NOT take into account those whose costume, name or legacy were passed onto a new character. It also includes the child members of The Invaders, both of whom should now rightfully be nonagenarians, once again pointing out flaws in the sliding timeline of modern superhero comics and leading us to today’s 54.1% resurrected query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) loves that the Future People will get a completely different set of characters to choose from, even if it’s just next week, asking: Who is your favorite (currently) deceased fallen character?

Has to be Han Solo now.
Aside from Han Solo, I’ll have to go with Burai/DragonRanger. He’s made a few appearances since his death, but it has always been said it is his spirit and not a full return to life (such as his appearance to Gai Ikari in Gokaiger alongside other deceased sixth rangers AbareKiller and TimeFire).
I was also pretty heartbroken to learn Dum Dum Dugan actually died and the one we’ve known in the “present” for years has been a LMD who didn’t even know he wasn’t the real one (or at least was a couple years ago, I don’t know if or how that changed with Secret Wars 2).
Ha! I love your statistical analysis of the Book Of The Dead. Thank you.
