[Gaming] WizKids announce another Team Pack

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherAugust 25, 20162 Comments2 Mins Read

It looks like Dice Masters Team Packs are going to be the new big thing from WizKids, as the company announced the Defenders Team Pack arriving in March.

Team Packs give Dice Masters players a chance to get 24 cards and 16 dice that can be combined with a starter set for a highly focused team. For those who have been playing for a while (me, for example), a team pack is a great deal as we don’t have to buy a new starter set or spend a lot of money on blind bag gravity feeds.

The next Team Pack will feature members of The Defenders, which means you can get your hands on The Hulk, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones. Presumably, these are updated versions of the characters we already have.

We had an interesting conversation this week on Munchkin Land regarding team packs and the number of dice included in the set. While most cards will let you amp up to four dice per character, if you are playing an 8/20 team, the chances of you having more than two or three dice per character is pretty slim.

Will you be grabbing the Defenders Team Pack for $9.99, or are you done with the game?

Just recently got into dice masters and I’m having a blast. I think the team packs will be good for those of us who like doing thematic teams when playing with friends and not just building a “tournament” team. Also would love to hear what you thought of the TMNT dice set if you got to play it yet.

As soon as I unbox it, I will let you know. It sat all summer at our FLGS, and in the two weeks its been at the Major Spoilers HQ, both copies (one for me, one for Mason) have been sitting patiently. TOO MUCH GOING ON!
