No one sold it quite like Clancy Brown.
Kevin Spacey was the only good part of the entire movie. He does evil well.
Clancy Brown brings just that right mix of plausible charm and deadly ruthlessness for me.
Although it was a tough call, each version of the character is excellent in his own way
Clancy Brown just hits all facets of who Lex Luthor is seamlessly. He can go from mad scientist, to corporate overlord, and back again perfectly. Plus he has the perfect voice for it all.
All of Kevin Spacey’s votes should go to Gene Hackman, as he was just channeling the Saturday Night Live version of Hackman’s Lex Luthor.
Clancy Brown. He brought such charisma, charm and megalomania to the role.
As a side note I was surprised when I first learned that he played The Kurgan in the first Highlander and does the voice of Mr. Krabs.
