Author Caitlin Kittredge has been hired by Dynamite Entertainment to launch a new Grimm series for the publisher.
Grimm #1 will be set during the fourth season, and will be in continuity, for those of you who are into such things.
What do Juliette, Adalind, Truble, and Rosalee have in common? They’re the women in the life of Portland’s own Grimm, Nick Burkhardt, and they’re about to cross paths in a way they’d never expect! Set during a tumultuous time in the hit television show, Juliette’s struggles to come to terms with becoming a Hexenbiest draw her into conflict with a new Wessen threat, and she finds she has nowhere to turn except her most hated enemy, Adalind… that’s right, the woman who impersonated Juliette and slept with Nick!
Most well known for her Nocturne City series of novels, as well the Coffin Hill series at Vertigo, Caitlin Kittredge is thrilled to put the ladies of Grimm front and center in this new series.
“Teaming her (Julia) up with Adalind was the natural choice,” said Kittredge. “Juliette has a dark side she hasn’t really let out during Season Four, and Adalind has a secret heroic side she tries her best to hide… but both of them are going to have to turn to their inner natures to take on the threat in this story. Who better to protect Portland than the four most badass women in it? I can’t think of anyone!”
Grimm #1 is scheduled to arrive in September, along with the first Grimm series, collected in omnibus form.
