With the title of the episode and what was happening to Sekar I thought for a bit that he was gonna turn into a troll or monster of some kind.

      • Stephen Schleicher on April 10, 2016 2:23 pm

        Turn into?

        • Crystal Groves on April 10, 2016 9:45 pm

Well we’ll never know for sure until we can see his character sheet.

        • Henry Hunt on April 12, 2016 10:40 am

Hmm, definitely a secret troll then

    2. Crystal Groves on April 10, 2016 2:12 pm

I really hope this episode spawns the most fanfiction and fanart of all the episodes so far. I’ll try to do my part.
Also, I’m really glad the sending ritual was touched upon. I hope they contact Lec.

When Orem asked Sekhar if he wanted Randus to inject him with something, or if he needed some air I half expected Randus to shoot Sekhar with a needle full of air XD

I Wonder what is happening to Sekhar, all I know is that since Ket mentioned they have faced worse enemies then rich, greedy men (anyone else unable to say or even read Ket’s name without a disdainful/accussational tone because of Orem?) that maybe we have another Trojan member in the party. An extremely powerful spirit taking over Sekhar or some sort of Cowthulu like entity from another reality would make for a great final encounter for the season.

All I know is that the gang’s plan (read the hyper competent new member, Sparkles’ plan) is going well! So what could possib-lie go wrong! *looks in Rodrigo’s direction*

P.S. no seriously, Sam’s LIttle Sparkle is basically the Leela of the team, a pro surrounded by “amateurs” XD

      • Simonsimonforyou on April 11, 2016 5:22 pm

I think it has more to do with how the lightning stones are affecting Sekhar. He seems to always be in balance with the spirits, and maybe the speed of the train is too much with his connection to the material plane.

      • Crystal Groves on April 11, 2016 6:42 pm

It could be something preexisting. Remember what happened when his blood was used in a healing injection for Orem? That was never really explained.

        Ooooh! I love the mystery!

        • Henry Hunt on April 12, 2016 11:18 am

What happened when his blood was used for an injection for Orem? I cant remember…

          • Samantha Nelson on April 12, 2016 4:14 pm

He did a weird skittering thing though I assumed that was due to beefy Orem not liking being healed. I think all the characters have had injections of Sekhar’s blood at this point due to his willingness to give out part of his massive pile of healing surges. Which means if his nefarious plan was to infect everyone with whatever he’s got he’s already succeeded.

            • Henry Hunt on April 14, 2016 5:56 pm

I hope he’s not secretly evil, I’ve grown to love him as a character

      • Samantha Nelson on April 12, 2016 8:51 am

So if we’re the Planetary Express crew does that make Rodrigo Professor Farnsworth? “Good news, everyone! The Salamander’s Coil would like you to help it test is prototype Locust Tank!”

        • Stephen Schleicher on April 12, 2016 10:14 am

          But what about Zoidberg!?

          • Henry Hunt on April 12, 2016 11:19 am

I’d say that’s Guy but it’s more likely the Dog statue form season 1/2 that never got used and then was lost.

          • Samantha Nelson on April 14, 2016 8:27 pm

My initial thought was Randus because he’s closest to a doctor but hat would be a grave insult to his skills.

        • Ricco on April 16, 2016 2:06 am

Orem = Zap Brannigan, remember the “pep talk” to the interns?

Trelle = Amy, has a high social standing that confers her power, not sure how to handle it, no idea how money actually works.

Ket = Bender, smart, cunning, chronic gambler, seems to be only out for himself but when the chips are down he’ll sacrifice himself for his friends.

Sekhar = Hermes Conrad, knows how things get done, tends to follow strict protocol, takes titles quite seriously.

Randus = Professor Farnsworth, crazy inventor with a mix of genius/insanity/genuine bad luck, creates doomsday devices on daily basis with the occasional near obliteration of reality, which is one of Randus defining traits XD

Torq = Fry, a genius in a dumb kind of way, acts on impulse but always with the right intention, wants what is best for his friends, tougher then any creature of flesh and blood has any right to be and too stubborn to know when to give up.

As for Zoidberg? That’s a tough one, it would have to be someone annoying but kindhearted, competent and useless, shy but with fits of blinding rage, dumb and smart at the same time…
Actually this is not that hard, it’s Glaa.

Good in a fight if properly motivated, tends to act dumb (remember the hit Orem with a stick episode?), annoys everyone without trying (actually thinks he’s helping) and lets not forget the obvious “turn into a crab bit”

    4. Frederick Pagliarulo on April 11, 2016 5:53 pm

I thought it was a poignant moment when Rob (and thus Ket) was saddened by the thought that Torq was no longer with them. While Sekhar is a great character, and Matthew has proven to be able to role-play any character with aplomb, I can’t help but miss Torq. Torq is one of those unique and special characters that simply cannot be replaced. I hope that we haven’t seen the last of him.

      • The Queen's Obedient Cousin on April 12, 2016 11:36 am

I thought it was a particularly poignant moment when Little Sparkle told Ket she didn’t think he was evil, and it seemed to just go over his head. Like she’s reaching a conclusion about something that’s bothered her, and it’s important to her to reassure him about it, but he doesn’t really connect with it because he never saw himself that way to begin with.

        • Crashunderride on April 21, 2016 4:18 pm

To me that felt just so…Ket.
He’s done things hes not proud of, not happy about, but he’s never once questioned who he is. Ket knows that he is and something I’ve always loved about both the character and Rob is the Ket is willing to be the bad guy. Willing to make the unpopular choices. He’s not totally selfish, he’s not just a jerk, he just does what needs to get done and others opinion of him doesn’t factor into that outside of how likely it makes them to get in the way.
He never batted an eye at Trelles moments of connection with him, and Sparkles are much the same. She doesn’t think he’s evil, and thats fine, but as far as Ket is concerned it’s irrelevant.

    5. Lance Sumsion on April 12, 2016 10:44 am

      I miss Torq too Ket
