Many years ago, you could go to the store and buy, buy, buy all sorts of action figures inspired by Batman: The Animated Series. Then the line dropped off, but fan demand was still high. In the last couple of years, DC Collectibles has released larger versions of those figures, and in 2016 we are going to get a ton of new figures added to the line.
In the six-inch line, fans will be able to get a new Harley Quinn, Firelfy, Harvey Bullock, Scarface, Talia al Ghul, Joker, and Anti-Fire Suit Batman, which will all arrive in September with a $28 price tag.
We’ll also see the arrival of Clayface and a huge Batwing set that is in the same scale as the recent Batmobile set.
Of course, Batman: The Animated Series changed during its run, and so did the designs and action figures. The New Batman Adventures will release a Girls Night Out pack in September for $80 that will feature Poison Ivy, Batgirl, Supergirl, Harley Quinn and LIvewire.
One of the first animated versions of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns took place on the New Batman Adventures, and we’ll get a three-pack based on that episode. For $70, you’ll get Batman, Carrie Kelley and the Mutant Leader.
And let’s not forget the most awesome Batman Beyond series. There’s a three-pack also flying at us in January 2017 featuring Bruce Wayne, Batman, and Ace the Bat-Hound for a mere $50.
Finally, to celebrate the holidays, look for a Christmas with the Joker figure, complete with holiday cheer.
Well, I’m going to be spending a lot of money on these figures over the next year or two… TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Yup. Shock ‘n Awe will be broke before you know it. DC keeps raising the price on their toys but damn, Ace the Bat Hound and animated Dark Knight Returns? I’m in.
Okay, I’m going to rewrite my Christmas and Birthday lists to include a couple of these at the top. The Batman Beyond set and the Girls Night Out set are the two I want most.
